About The Project

Sangfor Technologies was experiencing tough competition from its rivals owing to the lack of organic traffic and declining SERP position. This was lowering the visibility of the brand and the inflow of leads.

To resolve this problem, Sangfor Technologies approached Viacon.io. Our experience in solving SEO bottlenecks and a stream of similar projects enabled us to quickly discern Sangfor’s key challenges. Viacon crafted an SEO plan focused on increasing visibility, and within 3 months, the efforts started showing results with an increased organic traffic, referring domains, and boosted online visibility.

Key Challenges

  • High Competition: Sangfor was facing tough competition from its global competitors especially with high-intent keywords.
  • Targeting Broad Keywords: Since broad keywords were targeted, it diluted the efforts across multiple IT and cybersecurity segments, lowering the SEO impact.
  • Poor Quality of Backlinks: Poor backlink quality hamstrung the site and kept its domain rating at a meager 42, while the competition is far ahead.
  • Low Visibility in SERP Features: Sangfor’s global competitors were dominating the People Also Ask, AI Overviews, and Featured Snippet sections.
  • Poor Organic Traffic: Considering the size of the organization and its reach, Sangfor was struggling with securing organic traffic. It was just 52k per month.
  • Lack of Content Update: Irregular content updates affected the site’s visibility in the SERP while increasing the risk of outdated content.

Proposed Solutions

  • Implementing Keyword Rotation: Implemented a rotation strategy by adding 12 new focus keywords each month while removing 7 underperformers to prioritize rankings.
  • Improving Backlinks: Built authority through 6 blogs on DA 50+ sites and 12 backlinks, supported by social bookmarking, classified ads, niche directories, web 2.0s, press releases, and citations.
  • Increasing Visibility on SERP Features: Enhanced visibility with FAQ integration, optimized content for AI overviews, and updated meta tags and schema.
  • On-page Optimization: Focused on regular content updates, keyword placement, readability improvements, and publishing new keyword-aligned content.
  • GEO Updates: Planned GEO-specific content optimization to improve visibility across AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini, boosting organic traffic.
